Chris Greene is the founder and agency owner of The Flood Insurance Guru,
headquartered in Covington, Georgia. He is one of the most recognized flood
insurance specialists in the United States — not just for the policies he writes,
but for the education he creates. Chris has spent over a decade making flood
insurance understandable for homeowners, real estate agents, loan officers,
and insurance professionals across all 50 states.
His journey into flood insurance started personally. Around 2015, Chris was in
the process of purchasing a home and discovered it was in a flood zone. The
experience of trying to find clear, honest answers was frustrating — and that
frustration became the foundation of The Flood Insurance Guru. He set out to
ensure no homeowner would ever have to face that confusion without a
trusted resource to turn to.
Chris's approach to education is relentless. He famously committed to
producing 365 flood insurance videos in 365 days, 150 blog posts in 150 days,
and 100 podcast episodes in 100 days — all to build a library of content that
answers the real questions people are searching for. Today that library spans
more than 5,000 videos and has made him a household name in the flood
insurance space.
